Barbara Bielecki. MBA Master’s degree in Business and Administration from Deakin University. Electives in Managing Digital Transformation and Managing Events. She holds an Applied Science Bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science from RMIT University, majoring in Medical Microbiology and Cytopathology and minoring in Histopathology, and a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science (Public and Environmental Health) from Swinburne University of Technology, with a professional major in Public Health and a co-major in Food Science.
She also has a Diploma of Health in Medical Laboratory from RMIT University.
Barbara has also completed intense and extensive Executive Ready and Advanced Leadership Development, Peer Coaching, and Expert Mentoring with Women & Leadership Australia.
Appropriately qualified to provide expert opinion in information and advice and in the interpretation of legislation.
She has worked numerous years as a Medical Scientist and a Cytologist at major Melbourne hospitals and has been involved in bowel cancer research.
As an Environmental Health Officer, she has worked at numerous local government councils, issuing permits for wastewater treatment systems, reviewing floor plans and approving equipment fit-outs in food premises, approving registrations for beauty premises, food premises, caravan parks, and prescribed accommodations, investigating food-poisoning cases, taking food samples under the Food Act 1984, and responding to complaints. Barbara therefore has in-depth knowledge of how a food business can avoid common mistakes and prevent fines for non-compliance.
Barbara also enjoys writing about films.
While her primary focus is consulting, writing, and tutoring, she also takes on occasional contract work as an EHO. This frontline experience ensures her advice is always up-to-date with the latest council inspections and regulatory trends.
